“We applaud the President for calling for an end to taxpayer handouts to Big Oil. It’s time we invest in American innovation and our future instead of subsidizing the most profitable industry on earth.
“It must drive the oil and gas industry crazy that business is booming under President Obama’s energy policies. Drilling activity is at its highest level in 25 years, and both production of natural gas and oil are higher now than when President Obama took office.
“President Obama has the most pro-American energy track record of any president in recent history. Industry should be thanking Obama for leading an American energy revolution. Instead, they whine for more government handouts and more public lands while they stockpile thousands of unused drilling permits.”
