Prompted by a new reader’s tip, Checks & Balances Project (C&BP) has filed a public information request with the Sussex County, Virginia, board of supervisors seeking the county’s recusal policy. It also has asked for the records of any supervisors who have declared a conflict of interest in the last 25 years.
C&BP has asked Chairman Steve White for a comment and is awaiting the chairman’s response.
