Yesterday, we sent a letter to Peter Ward, president of the New York Hotel and Motel Trades Council, AFL-CIO, asking that he assist us in understanding his decision-making process and relationship with his union members.

Earlier this week, we also called Mr. Ward’s office, but so far have not received a reply.
Recently, we were approached by Airbnb, a company that is concerned about efforts by the hotel lobby to block the growth of home sharing travel. After exploring the issue further, we have decided to accept their offer of public funding. We will be approaching other home sharing companies, as well. They will join our current list of public and private supporters.
